End the Plastic Crisis: Practical Solutions for Clean Oceans
Explore practical solutions and stories from people reducing plastic pollution on the water and along the shore. Because ending the plastic crisis begins with taking action, wherever you are.
Turn Reading Stories Into Action to end the Plastic Crisis
Stories can inspire us, but ending plastic pollution takes more than inspiration. To end the plastic crisis, we need people who care about the sea to turn that care into action.
That is what In Mocean is about. On our Get Involved page, you can find different ways to become part of that action, whether you are a sailor, an ocean lover, or an organisation. Some people start by learning how to reduce plastic on board and in everyday life. Others support our work through a membership, join clean-ups, take part in challenges, or connect with local initiatives along their route.
For sailors in particular, action does not have to stay abstract. It can become part of the journey. Through our growing network, we are creating more ways for sailors to connect with local ocean conservation efforts and support work that is already happening in coastal communities. That is how we end the plastic crisis: by linking individual action to collective efforts for clean oceans.
Why Partnerships Matter for Clean Oceans
To end the plastic crisis, we need strong partnerships. Change happens faster and lasts longer when sailors, local organisations, and supportive businesses work together toward the same goal: reducing plastic pollution and building more circular solutions in coastal communities.
We are currently working with NoForeignLand on a platform inside their cruising app that will help connect sailors with local ocean conservation projects. The aim is to make it easier for sailors to find initiatives along their route and support local efforts in meaningful ways.
Another important example is our long-term supporter TRIXIE. Their support covers our yearly administrative costs and provides an essential foundation for the long-term stability of our organisation. That kind of backing matters. It creates the structure that allows practical action in the field to keep growing.
