A Statement for Ocean Conservation Comes Alive
How often do we see product tags or stickers claiming that our purchase supports a good cause? It’s a reassuring message — one that makes us feel we’re contributing to something meaningful. But how often do we actually get to see what happens with that money?
In Mocean is one of the organizations supported through TRIXIE’s BE NORDIC product line. And during TRIXIE’s in-house trade fair, visitors had the rare chance to experience what this partnership truly means. At our pop-up recycling workspace, they watched plastic waste being transformed into new products and talked directly to one of the founders behind the project their purchase helps fund. In that moment, the message of ocean protection turned into something tangible — a first-hand experience far more powerful than any label or tagline could convey.
“I knew that TRIXIE had the BE NORDIC product line and that they were donating money through it, but I never really knew what happens with the money. Now that I see your work explained here and what impact these projects have, I’ll look at it very differently.”

From Plastic Waste to Ocean Protection
At our stand, visitors could follow the journey of plastic waste from discarded material to a new, useful product. With our small injection machine running on-site, we showed how simple tools and creativity can turn plastic into something of value — and how this process helps protect our oceans long before plastic ever reaches the beach.
Through conversations, we explained what In Mocean does beyond events like this: we create awareness about the potential of plastic recycling through hands-on workshops, and we support local partners in setting up small-scale community recycling workspaces. This not only keeps plastic out of nature but also creates new income opportunities and builds awareness for ocean and environmental conservation.
This connection between why we recycle and who benefits from it made many visitors stop, watch, and reflect.
“I never really thought about what exactly the BE NORDIC series is supporting. Experiencing this first-hand gives it so much more meaning.”

Building Connection Through Experience
Over the course of the two days, we spoke with many of TRIXIE’s business partners and employees. Some stopped out of curiosity, others stayed to learn more about plastic recycling, ocean protection, or life aboard our boats. Conversations that started with “So how does this machine work?” often led to deeper reflections about how our daily choices and production systems affect the environment.
One of the TRIXIE employees – who crafts and engraves decorative wood products in his free time — was particularly captivated by our setup. Watching how plastic waste could be turned into something new sparked an idea: to start a small recycling project with his kids at home. Encounters like these are what make in-person experiences so powerful. They bridge the distance between a donation and the difference it makes — transforming a concept into curiosity, and curiosity into motivation.
“It’s great to actually witness one of the projects first-hand! This could also be a great opportunity at the point of sale, to showcase what great projects the BE NORDIC series is supporting.”

Sustainable Commitments Within and Outside the Company
During the fair, we also met TRIXIE’s Sustainability Manager, who is working on making the company’s operations more resource-efficient — from reducing packaging materials to improving waste management and material flows. These efforts reflect TRIXIE’s ongoing commitment to act more responsibly within its own processes.
At the same time, their support for initiatives like In Mocean shows how this sense of responsibility extends beyond company boundaries. Through donations from the BE NORDIC product line, TRIXIE contributes to projects that protect marine environments, raise awareness about plastic pollution, and inspire people to take action.
It’s this balance of sustainable commitments within and outside the company that demonstrates how environmental responsibility can take many forms — from improving how things are made to supporting those working directly to protect the oceans.
Sustainable Partnerships That Connect Purpose and People
Our collaboration with TRIXIE shows how corporate partnerships to protect oceans can create something people truly connect with. Through direct dialogue, storytelling, and hands-on recycling experiences, we help translate corporate commitments into moments of understanding — where people can see and feel what ocean protection means in practice.
When partners like TRIXIE open their doors to this kind of exchange, they do more than fund a project — they build a bridge between purpose and people. Together, we can raise awareness, inspire action, and strengthen the collective effort to keep plastic out of nature.
We were especially excited to meet the TRIXIE team in person for the first time — a chance to connect faces with names and strengthen the relationship behind our collaboration. We’re deeply grateful for TRIXIE’s trust and long-term support, which helps us continue sharing knowledge, sparking awareness, and developing local solutions that protect our oceans.
